CLAPHAM FAMILY HOME
Functionality was central to our client’s brief, with a key objective to reconfigure the ground floor to maximise storage. The existing kitchen layout resulted in significant wasted space, while the living areas featured joinery that was both visually unrefined and impractical.
The kitchen was fully removed and reimagined as a bespoke design, allowing for a highly considered use of space. In contrast, the existing joinery in the sitting room and playroom was carefully adapted and refinished, reducing waste while transforming these elements into refined focal points. Every detail was meticulously planned—from the internal dimensions of breakfast bar drawers to accommodate cereal boxes, to the integration of discreet sockets within a concealed appliance zone, and the specification of baskets sized to house art supplies and toys within the playroom shelving.
The colour palette draws inspiration from the client’s affinity for the Mediterranean, combining layered oceanic blues with warm terracotta and sunlit yellow tones to create a vibrant yet balanced scheme.
